PHOTO OPTIMIZATION / PHOTO EDITING
We optimize each photograph — carefully adjusting the contrast and color balance. We repair minor tears and stains, remove dust and scratches, and crop the images so that they will display properly — all at no additional charge!

CUSTOM PHOTO COLLAGE DESIGN
We also can create a custom photo collage to help enhance a storyline when there are no photographs depicting an actual experience or event. For instance, in the photo of the little girl with her wagon and dog above, we combined five different images for a pet tribute DVD. The customer had written a story that she wanted to record for her production. There was a particular incident when her young daughter ran away from home with her dog hitched to her little red wagon. We searched for images of red wagons from the era and a little wicker lunch basket and an image of the woods near her home and combined them with pictures from her production — creating a fantasy collage that appeared in the slideshow perfectly synchronized with the narration. PROFESSIONAL SLIDESHOW EDITING
Commemorative DVDs custom edits every production to achieve the greatest emotional effect. We carefully synchronize the music to match the mood of the images and determine what motion effects and transitions are best suited for each image. We sometimes layer images for a more subtle unfolding of a scene. Most other companies will assign random transitions which end up being distracting and inappropriate. Many will not even apply motion effects so that the production is a static slideshow. We believe that your DVD project is important. We go to great lengths to make certain that your photo montage slideshow is artistically evocative and wows your audience.

Meet The Owner
Hemitra Crecraft, the owner and operator of Commemorative DVDs, grew up in the Main Line, Philadelphia area. She is an award winning author and filmmaker with a broad background in graphic design, broadcasting, theatre and celebration planning. Her unique mix of skills enables her to create keepsake DVDs that are memorable works of art for her clients.
Backstory
When her mother was approaching her 80th birthday, Hemitra and her brother decided to create a Life Tribute DVD to surprise their mother at her birthday party gala. As the grand matriach of an adoring family, she deserved a spectacular production — one which would detail her journey from infancy and include a family history so that future generations could appreciate their roots.
The DVD was a 30 minute production that combined photographs and clips from old home movies — with a spoken narration against a soundtrack of nostalgic music. The show was a huge success — the highlight of the evening. And the look on their mother's face as she watched the show — well, that was priceless. Now each year, the family gathers on her birthday to watch it with her and reflect on the beautiful, extraordinary, loving woman she is.

CUSTOM SOUND TRACKS
Sometimes, customers ask us to create a custom sound track — using a combination of many different genres of music and occasional sound effects to add an extra realistic punch to the animation of photographs. We carefully match the mood of each scene with musical selections that evoke laughter, tears and awe.
SCRIPT WRITING , NARRATION RECORDING SERVICES
Most DVD slideshows exclusively utilize captions and titles as a way of adding meaning to a production. We have taken this an important step further by offering scriptwriting/editing and narration services.
To connect all the photographs and video into a cohesive flow for your film, it is highly effective to create a narration to provide an extra level of intimacy and professionalism to your production. We'll work closely with you to help edit your script for the screen so that it will have the greatest impact. Using your own voice or our professional voice talent, we'll carefully lay the narrative track to match up with specific images. You will be thrilled with the results! PROFESSIONAL DVD PACKAGING
We create beautiful, full color, professionally designed DVD covers and full color printing on your DVD disc. We do not use templates like other companies. We custom design each cover and disc using images from your show that are enhanced for the greatest dramatic appeal. Your DVD is packaged in a Hollywood-style, high quality DVD case and is guaranteed to look as gorgeous on the shelf as on the screen!
